The college is equipped with Edusat Facility under MOU signed with Indian Space Research Organization. Under this scheme two channels of Edusat programmes are received. Two-way interactive sessions are possible using which live classes can be conducted. One channel is meant for beaming VICTERS programmes and the other under the Indo-US forum for receiving classes conducted in engineering stream by expert faculty, beamed from the Amritha University Campus in Coimbatore. Commencing from July 2006, classes of eminent US professors are being received by this centre. This facility is useful for the student community as well as for the teachers.

This is a centralized computer centre for the staff and students of this college. This centre started functioning in 2006. The objective of this centre is to give facilities like browsing, document preparation, taking printouts etc. Prof. Naliny E.S. of MCA is in charge of this centre.

The Parent Teacher Association is actively involved in aiding smooth functioning of the college. The objectives of the association are:
1. To work for the welfare of the students and of the institution and to offer
constructive suggestions for the smooth and successful functioning of the college
2. To promote better participation of the parents in the various programmes of the
college and to establish better liaison with teachers.
All parents/guardians of the students on the rolls of the college and members of teaching faculty of the college are members of the association It is compulsory for a parent/guardian of a student on the rolls of the college to be a member of the Parent Teacher Association.
Noteworthy achievements/activities of the association that require special mention are:
1. The three-storied library building in the college campus
2. Giving awards to students securing first in University examinations for each
semester and in each branch.
3. Printing information bulletin , syllabi etc. for distributing among the students.
4. Financial assistance to all the departments for repair and maintenance of the
department labs
5. An STD Booth is functioning during college hours in the PTA Building
6. Photostat Facility is made available for the students and staff
7. Active Co-ordination with the College Placement Cell.
8. A major project currently in progress is the New Millenium Auditorium sponsored
jointly by The PTA and Alumni Association

There is a placement committee consisting of faculty members and student representatives from all the departments, which ensures the smooth functioning of the placement cell.
The main objectives of the Cell are:
To assist the students in getting placement in reputed organizations
through campus interviews.
To organise programs relevant to personality development, aptitude tests etc by
professionals.
To organise interactive programs on career planning and emerging trends in the
industry in association with Alumni.
To advice and guide the students in career development and higher studies.
262 students were placed through the placement cell during academic year 2005-06.
General electric, TCS, Wipro Infosys , Robert Bosch, Accenture, CTS, Caritor ,Subex, US Technologies, Mahindra & Mahindra, ISPAT Industries, and L & T are among the companies which recruited students from the campus during 2005-2006

National Service Scheme has emerged as a powerful and dynamic youth movement in this country. NSS is acting as a catalyst to build up the right type of leadership in an Institution. This college has implemented the National Service Scheme from 1970. The main aim of the scheme is to provide opportunities to the teachers and students to gain valuable practical experience through community service. At present one units is functioning in the college and the strength is 100.
The students who get 240 hours experience including one special company programme will be eligible for NSS certificate and also will be eligible for obtaining grace marks .
The staff member in charge of the unit is Sri. P.A. Abdul Samad, Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering.

Energy Conservation Society (Thrissur Chapter) is functioning in our Institution. The object of the Society is to foster all forms of energy and to protect the environment for the sustainable development of our country. A few activities of the ECS are listed hereunder:
