Confluence’06

Arts Festival of the Government Engineering College, Thrissur was held on 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11 November 2006 in the college campus. Renowned artist Shri. Ganesh Kumar inaugurated the festival in a function presided by the College Union Chairman Mr. Rajesh K. U.

College Principal Dr. K. V. Narayanan, PTA President Shri. N. V. Balagopalan, College Union Staff Advisor Shri. Kunjumoideen and Senate Member Shri. K.P.Varkey graced the occasion with their presence. College Union Fine Arts Secretary Mr. Vineeth K. V. welcomed the gathering. Confluence’06 Convenor Mr. Sreejith V. delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Offstage competitions were held on 6 and 7 November. Onstage competitions were held in four venues on 9, 10 and 11. In the spirited competition for prizes, the Semester 5 batch emerged champions.

Prashanth T. (S5 Chemical) and Meera C. M. (S3 Civil) earned the titles of Kalaprathibha and Kalathilakam respectively, while the Chithraprathibha and Sargaprathibha titles went to Vineeth Kannan (S3 Architecture) and Muhammed Rafi (S5 Mechanical).
