The Electrical and Electronics Engineering association organizes seminars and workshops on a regular basis for the benefits of the students. The Department has been organizing a national level paper presentation contest and Exhibition ‘RESONANCE ’ every year. The IEEE student chapter is also very active.

As part of the undergraduate and graduate programs, the department undertakes several projects of technical importance. The department has a long history of close association with industries and offers consultancy in the fields of electrical system design, energy audit, electrical distribution systems etc. Testing facilities for measuring instruments and machines are also available. A well equipped High Voltage Laboratory that can offer high voltage testing facilities will become functional shortly.

The placement wing of the department lends active support to the college placement cell for conducting campus interviews and has been able to obtain placement for a considerable number of students in prominent industries.

The department has conducted several short term courses on High Voltage Engineering, High Voltage Direct Current Transmission and Computer aided Power system analysis.
